Pain. Evil. Suffering. Collectively, these three are known as the Problem of Evil, and it is the single strongest argument by Atheists and Skeptics against the existence of God and the truthfulness of Scripture. Many believers have walked away from the challenge, unsure of how to respond. This yeshiva will teach not only how one can begin answering the challenge, but also demonstrate just how weak of an argument the Problem of Evil is, and how this argument actually points to the existence of God!
Doug Taylor, PhD, is Assistant Professor of Theology and Apologetics at Luther Rice College and Seminary and Program Coordinator for the Master of Arts in Apologetics. He is the author of WHY? A Believer's Introduction to the Faith and Jesus Before Constantine: The Church, Her Beliefs, and Her Apologetics, and has two pending articles to be published in the forthcoming Zondervan Messianic Study Bible. He and his wife Kathryn have two grown daughters and currently live in East Tennessee. When he's not teaching or writing he really enjoys deer hunting -- when the season is right, of course!
