Messianic Judaism in the First One Hundred Years
$ 75.00
Dr. Jeffrey Seif, Instructor
Professor Jeffrey Seif will enter a time machine and take students on a whirlwind tour to and through the first one hundred years of the Messianic Jewish movement. After a brief consideration of the movement’s origin in Jerusalem, attention will shift to the Levant, to Syria—especially as it endeavored to make its way in its non-Jewish culture where, unlike in Israel, Judaism was not the dominant world view and Jewishness did not define the culture. To what extent was their world like our own? How did the culture respond to Messianics then? How did non-Jewish Christians respond? Were their responses at all similar to those in our day?
