This course will be divided into two parts. In the first we will examine Biblical and liturgical prayers that are repeated weekly in our synagogues and discover what we're really saying and why we're saying it. This isn't just an intellectual exercise; it will deepen your corporate worship experience. In the second part of the course we will explore a number of prophecies in the Tanach which focus on the person of the Messiah. Was He supposed to be simply a great man, a prophet, a conqueror, or G-d? A basic knowledge of the Hebrew alphabet is required; it will not be taught in the class.
